Ann Marie, 20 years old...She was adopted from Sierra Leone, West Africa in 2005 at the age of 13. Ann Marie is a Senior and is so excited to be completing high school! She has been an excellent student and has excelled at her studies. She loves to play the piano, do sewing projects and crafts, baking and cooking, read books, and work in the warmth and sunshine! She hopes someday to be a nurse, but before then will be attending a Bible school. She is an American citizen on paper, but an African at heart. She loves her family here and we are so blessed to have her as part of our family, but we also know she has family in Sierra Leone that she loves too!
Ethan, 16 years old. Ethan is our first born son. He is in 10th grade and enjoys getting his hands dirty rather than do school work, but applies himself to whatever his hands find to do. He has a new hobby of photography and enjoys taking creative pictures. Ethan and Tyler are best of friends and work, create, and explore together. Ethan has a love of flying and is always dreaming of flying someday! He loves to tell stories and visit, and is a great communicator.
Tyler, 13 years old. Tyler is our second born son. He is in 7th grade and also much prefers to work with his hands, but works hard in school. Tyler is our mischievous boy with a twinkle in his eye! He loves to make everyone laugh. Tyler loves to be outside working and playing. He is a creator, builder, and has an amazing ability to see how things are put together. He enjoys building with wood and has become quite creative. Tyler is a leader that everyone loves to follow. He makes life fun!
Kailee, 11 years old. Kailee was our first adoption in 2001, adopted from northern Vietnam at age 3 1/2 months. She is in 5th grade and an excellent student who loves to read! She also loves to sew and do craft projects, challenge anyone to a game, and run, play, and create outside. Kailee strives to keep up with her older sister and brothers and doesn't want to be left out of anything! She is very smart and a fast learner, her hands are quick to learn whatever they find to do and she has an amazing ability to memorize. Kailee, Alyssum, and Adams are best buddies and enjoy using their imaginations to come up with all sorts of adventures!
Alyssum, 9 years old. Alyssum was our second adoption. She is from South Korea adopted at 13 months of age in 2003. Alyssum is in 4th grade and is an excellent student as well. She loves to read and learns so quickly! Alyssum loves to create, play make-believe, and be mom's helper. She loves to mother younger kids (and stuffed animals) and is very thoughtful of others and their needs. Alyssum is always very busy with her hands in everything, but at the same time she is paying close attention to everything!
Adams, 9 years old. Adams and Ann Marie were adopted at the same time in 2005 from the same orphanage in Sierra Leone. Adams was 3 years old at the time. He was born with a cleft lip and palate, and had his first two surgeries aboard the Anastasis(Mercy Ships). Adams has forever been a Mercy Ship star with his charming smile! Adams has had to overcome a lot from his first three years of life, but despite those difficulties he is doing so well. He is in 2nd this year and loves to read exciting adventure stories! Adams has a zest for life and doesn't give much thought to fear! He loves to play make-believe...knights, soldiers, cowboys, Indians, and Star Wars!
